The Gopher Wood tract has been excellently managed as a working forest, wildlife habitat, and an outdoor recreational tract. The property is located within the Lower Coosawhatchie River watershed. This land is highly diverse and the uplands are comprised of planted pine, natural pine, mixed pine hardwood, and hardwood forest types. Gopher Wood provides foraging and breeding habitat for many game wildlife species including white-tailed deer, turkey, waterfowl, and bobwhite quail. The landowner installed 15 food plots throughout the property. The duck ponds also attract many different species of duck, but also provide wonderful habitat for other wetland loving birds.
A map for the Gopher Wood tract has been provided in Google Map format.
