The Lemon Island Tract is 162.24 acres including marsh lands. It consists of a peninsula extended southeastward off of South Carolina Highway 170 and fronts the marshes of the Broad River on its southwest, east and northeast boundaries. This site has limited access to tidal water at a small hummuck in the southeastern point. Lemon Island includes five hummocks or marsh islands ranging from 0.092 to 2.4 acres. These islands are currently inaccessible from the mainland property but are located in high marsh and may have potential for causeway or light bridge access. Two of the islands have tidal creek access.
