The acquisition of the Alexander Tract represents the final link in the joining together of 16,000 acres of park lands located in North and South Carolina. This land was purchased for inclusion in Kings Mountain State Park located in Cherokee County. The Alexander Tract opened up vast amounts of land to the public for hunting, fishing, canoeing, biking, educational opportunities as well as charitable organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism contributed funds along with the Conservation Bank to make the addition of the Alexander Tract a possibility.
A map for the Alexander Tract has been provided in Google Map format.
